Trader Joe’s is one of those stores where you go in needing only 2 items, and leave with 12.
Yes, we’ve all been there. And somehow, the balance is always shockingly cheaper than what you had imagined it to be.
Magic!
Do you ever just walk down an aisle in Trader Joe’s, pick something up because it looks great, but then put it back down because you don’t even know how to pronounce it? Yeah, we’ve been there, too. But have no fear my curious friends, we’ve got you covered!
My last trip to Trader Joe’s incorporated me placing a couple of new products into my cart and hoping for the best. I was recommended to try a few products I had never even known existed that I’m happy to share with all of you:
Let me just say this: during the summer, this is a lifesaver! The trick is to use this mask in the shower after you have applied your shampoo. Evenly distribute the mask all over hair (starting at ends and moving towards roots) and comb through. Let it sit for 3-5 minutes (here’s your chance to let your inner Freddie Mercury shine!) Rinse out fully, and voila!
Once you finish your shower, your first instinct may be to grab the towel and wipe your face. STOP! You’re going to want to keep a lot of the moisture on your skin for this facial scrub. Here’s how you’re going to use it: First start off by blotting/patting your face with your towel. If you have long hair, I suggest pulling it back or keeping it in a towel for the time being. Then, use your fingers to scoop out some of the facial scrub. *Warning* it smells so good, you may just want to eat it - don’t do that. Next, evenly distribute the scrub all over your face, massaging into your skin in circular motions as you enjoy the aromas. Use 2-3x a week for best results!
3. Trader Joes Rose Facial Oil - $5.99
Rose. Facial. Oil.
YES! We saved the best for last. This facial oil is unlike anything else I’ve ever used. After you finish rinsing your face of all that blueberry & acai goodness, you’re going to want to squirt 1-2 pumps of this oil into your fingertips, and then pat it into your skin. Do NOT rub into skin, but firmly press into skin with fingertips. No need to rinse or wait to remove. Let your skin absorb this beautiful oil and relax!
It’s that time of year again… you know which one I’m talking about. The weather grows colder, and our sweaters, scarves, and hats are unpacked to keep us warm. The wind says hello with cold embrace against our now rosy cheeks. The sun sets much earlier than we would like it to, and we look forward to getting home after a long day’s work just to curl up in our favorite blanket and binge our favorite series. But nothing quite says December like the Holidays. Is it just me, or does it seem like everyone is overly cheerful, kind, and extremely on-edge during the holiday season? Don’t get me wrong, it is quite refreshing to see a stranger crack a smile back at you for a change, but the Holidays really do bring out a side of people that I wish was exposed to the world more frequently. I will take whatever I can get, and with that, I would like to share my Top Holiday Picks to help make your Holiday shopping a little easier, and smiles a little brighter!
Watermelon Pink Juice Moisturizer
I was recently introduced to this moisturizer, and just had to share it with all of you. The cold winters mean dry skin, but this moisturizer is truly the solution to soft and radiant skin! It comes in 2 sizes: 0.85 oz and 2.0 oz & for a limited time, you could get your hands on a Limited Edition Tote Set, which includes the moisturizer, a sleep mask and a sheet mask! From the smell to the way my skin feels after applying, I really look forward to using this moisturizer every day!
Keeping your skin moisturized in the winter should always be a top priority, but so should your hair care. Christopher Michael Salon is the perfect place for all of your hair wants and needs! Give your loved one a gift card, or treat yourself to a healthy cut this winter! Ps, ask for Danielle Brancaccio!
