Julia Holtermann is a current senior in the International Baccalaureate program at Curtis High School. She is a very active member of her school's Dance Company. She has been in the program since her freshman year, having no prior professional dance experience. Her passion is what drove her to excel with those who have been in classes since a very young age.

In her junior year, Julia had created her first fully choreographed group piece entitled "Breathin". This debuted both nights in the Curtis Dance Company show, as well as being selected to be performed at St. George Theater.

In addition to dance, Julia also takes an interest in musical theater, which has scored her several leading roles in her career. Despite having a strong connection to the arts Julia also loves sports. She has been playing tennis since she was five-years-old and plans on bringing both of her talents with her into her college life!

Juliana is a 14-year-old singer who is a music student at ET Studio Productions in Staten Island. She likes to express herself through songwriting, singing, and playing guitar and piano. Her songs are about events in her life, and help her to reflect on them. Juliana says that her first original song, "All In My Head," is about "letting go of someone who isn't who I thought they were, and knowing that no matter what happens, I still have me".

Lauren Nessi is a 15 year old singer/songwriter from Staten Island, New York. She has been singing since she was just 2 years old, but really made it a lifestyle when she was 12. She thanks her friends, family, and everyone at ET studio productions for shaping her into who she is today.

Lauren's song Spotlight, which will be performed at the Divine Women: Next Generation Show on October 20th, is a song she wrote two years ago about someone that tries to put you down just to get attention from other people because they think it would make them “cool”. Lauren says, "Everyone has to remember that you are your own person and you should never change who you are for other people’s satisfaction."

Gilby Mitchell is 14 years old, and is enrolled in the I.B. program at Curtis High School. She has been playing cello for six years, ukulele for one year and also took a year of piano lessons. Gilby writes her own original songs, which she will be performing alongside her close friend Emma, and sister, Esme, at our Divine Women Show on October 20th! This will be her first time performing her original songs, and she is thrilled. When she isn't writing, Gilby enjoys acting in her father's short films and being involved with musical theatre at Curtis High School's productions.

Emma Bresowsky is 15-years-old and currently attends Curtis High School in the International Baccalaureate Program. Emma has been writing songs since she was very young, and has now found her voice through her adolescent experiences. In addition to song writing, Emma enjoys being involved in musical theatre. Throughout the past year, Emma has participated in Staten Island's Children's theatre, as well as the musicals held at Curtis High School. Emma is excited to perform alongside her close friend, Gilby, and work with many other artists in the future.

Esme Mitchell is a 13-year-old violinist and trombone player. She has been playing the violin for ten years and the trombone for six! Her interests include musical theatre and dancing. She mainly studies ballet and modern dance, and has participated in all three of I.S. 61's musicals. Like her older sister Gilby, Esme will be attending Curtis High School starting this September, and will be a part of the I.B. Program.

Sabrina Torchio AKA Brina Torch is a 15 year old singer and songwriter from Staten Island, NY. Her edgy vocals and sassy lyrics give listeners a glimpse into her witty personality and old soul attitude. Ever since she could speak, Brina has always wanted to inspire others through her music. Influenced by artists such as Panic at the Disco, Fallout Boy and Lady Gaga, she strives to be different and not care what others may think. Brina loves to pull influences from her own life experiences into her creations. With a few releases under her belt, she is currently working on her debut EP expected to be released November 1st!

Isabella Mazzola, aka “Bella” to all her family and friends, is a self-taught musician since the age of 10.

Bella is proficient in Acoustic Guitar and Upright Base. She was formally trained in school where she learned to read music and understand the technical aspect of her craft. Now a senior at Susan E. Wagner High School, at the age of 17 she has accomplished SING “overall” position for the past 3 years and has successfully won last year’s Sing competition along with her fellow students. She is a member of the Wagner High School advanced guitar ensemble and performs quarterly.

Bella assisted in creating many of the songs and lyrics for the Sing competition; She enjoyed both performing and writing the songs used for it. Bella looks forward to this year’s performance.

Student, musician, violin & viola player - Elizabeth Theresa Azzarelli is a gifted violist and violinist from Staten Island. She has performed with the Mighty String Demons, and she is part of the prestigious All City Orchestra and the Summer Arts Institute. She previously attended the Mark Twain School for the Gifted and Talented in Brooklyn and is now attending Susan E. Wagner High School.

Tess is a 18 year old classically trained violinist, a member of the fabulous String Demons and singer. She’s just starting to write her own music, and will be performing an original song called “Ghost” at our Divine Women Show. She will accompany herself on the ukulele because she thinks of it as a joyful instrument, and likes simple, happy music. Tess covers rock, jazz, and folk music, and these influence my eclectic sound. Tess will be joined by her friend Lily for her performance.

Lily Samborska is an 18 year old graduate of Susan E. Wagner High School, now in the application process for the nursing program at the College of Staten Island. She spent the past four years playing saxophones and flute in her school’s jazz band as well as in outside groups. She and her friend Tess have been making music together as the duo Little Bug for four years.

Damali Browne is a 6th grader at IS 72. She plays the piano and is active in the musical youth programs at Christ Church New Brighton: playing ukulele, steel pan, and djembe drums. She even sings in the youth choir. She has participated in the St. George Summer theatrical camp and the Staten Island Children’s Theatre. For the second year in a row, Damali has received a scholarship to study dance at Ms. Rosemary's! In addition to dance, Damali enjoys playing soccer, swimming, bike riding, and playing with her little sister, Onuora.

Onuora Browne is a 3rd grader at PS 29. She plays the piano and is active in the musical youth programs at Christ Church New Brighton: playing ukulele, steel pan, and djembe drums, and singing in the youth choir. Onuora enjoys playing basketball, swimming, bike riding, and playing with her big sister, Damali.

Daniel Zen Trapp is 11 years old. Daniel also participates with The Christ Church Community Ukulele Ensemble. He enjoys playing the violin in orchestra at Petrides School, studies piano and loves to sing. He was also one of the nine chosen as Staten Island’s Got Talent Winner’s, 2018. Over the years he has participated with Staten Island Children’s Theater, Spotlight Children’s Theater and with the Trapp Family. When not making music you might find Daniel fresh water fishing, perfecting his chicken cutlets or riding his bike. As for the future he is hoping to study culinary arts. Daniel’s current philosophy of life is: Eat, sleep, fish!!

Jermain Michael Trapp is 11 years old. He participates musically with The Christ Church Community Ukulele Ensemble and plays cello in orchestra at Petrides School. Jey also studies piano and loves to sing and was one of the nine chosen as Staten Island’s Got Talent Winner’s 2018. Jey has participated in several of Staten Island Children’s Theater and Spotlight Children’s Theater Productions as well as with the Trapp Family. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, basketball, tae kwon do and watching Full House reruns. His personal philosophy resonates with the quote: “Don’t tell me sky’s the limit when there are footprints on the moon.” Jey is very happy to be backing up Damali today.
